Social Updates

Folks, just a quick post to say I’m now using Google+ quite extensively as my social platform of choice. I’m a big user of Google products, and the integration into Google+ is great – plus, it’s simply a well-crafted social media application. Facebook killed Myspace (don’t tell Myspace) – can Google+ kill Facebook? Actually, I seriously hope not because we need diversity. Facebook and Google+ are much more comparable than Myspace and Facebook were so I’m sure both will continue happily.

It does cause a problem though. The world only really needs one primary “general” social media platform, one on which you share news and views, post your family pictures, and interact both with friends, family and the world at large. Will we finally see some useful standardisation?
